Ways to get rid of Headache

Headaches are very common which every person can get anytime. Headaches are classified into two- primary and secondary headaches. Some headaches include tension, migraine, cluster headaches etc. There can be various causes for headache, which can be sometimes very dangerous.   • Another way to reduce tension headache is to just sit in a chair and hold all the muscles for a second or two and then release it slowly, take deep breaths, close the eyes and remain completely calm and still for ten minutes.
  • Ice therapy proves to be the best treatment for reducing migraine headache. An ice pack should be placed on the forehead, neck or temples and lie down for 5-10 minutes. This will numb the pain and reduce the inflammation and allow more blood to flow.

  • Acupuncture is treated to be the best treatment for reducing migraine headaches. This treatment has reduced the intensity and frequency of the migraine headaches. This involves the stimulation of anatomical locations on the skin to reestablish the equilibrium and reduces the headache.
  • Sometimes, lack of water can be the cause of headaches. Water helps in cleansing the kidneys, liver and colon and helps them in the proper functioning by eliminating the toxins. Once these organs will function properly, the headache will automatically be reduced.
  • Acupressure is also one of the best pain relief techniques to get rid of headache. This treatment involves the pressure on the nerves, which are connected to the brain, and head, which certainly reduces the headache in just few hours.
  • Sometimes, over the counter medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen are taken for reducing of migraine headache.
